Default Evo vs S2000 at Auto-x???

Anyone with an S2000 have some experiences against a comparable driver of an Evo? I don't even like Auto-x, but thought I would see how close or far apart they are.

Evo has lots of torque, but extra 400lbs...but awd....and bigger brakes.... but.. much taller....

There were two of them at the last one I went to, but they were both in the novice class, so I didnt even stay to watch them.

There's one that shows up at the Carolina autoXs. I think he's in the South Carolina region and he did the One Lap of America with his Evo. Really smokes everyone, and frequently runs fastest time of the day or close to it. I'd say he was consistently 1-2 seconds faster than the S's!!! Keep in mind he did One Lap and is a hell of a driver.

Depends on the course layout and conditions. Obviously on a wet course, the Evo will shine -- and most of the autoX events the last few months have seen plenty of rain! Here in SC, the guy with the Evo that Dante mentions is an excellent driver. At the most recent events the winning B-Stock driver (either an s2k or a boxster) has finished anywhere from 0.4 seconds behind to 0.3 seconds ahead of the Evo. In the grand scheme of things, what does that mean? Who knows!

Really? I must be mixed up, I thought he was posting 43.5s while the B stock guys were around 45s? And the X before that too. But I've not memorized the results.

-- stock vs stock. I don't know anything about either outside of stock-class though...

...since the Evo is in A and S2000 in B, you would think the Evo would be faster...... i was just curious if the torque and awd offset the weight dissadvantage....

My Evo seems to shine on tighter lower speed roadcourses vs the higher speed big courses..... so based on that I thought it may do a decent job in Auto-X.

thanks for the replys
