they never hated it....too bad they think its 5.4 to 60mph. Looks like these aftermarket guys are gonna have to start off from a slower point from before.

All the preview tests have mentioned that the X is quicker around the track than the IX, despite the slightly weaker acceleration performance. If that's true, the X should be the most potent off the showroom floor track car for under $40k.

I plan on looking at this car as a DD, I don't care especially about 0-60 times as long as it's fun to drive and moderatly comfortable it's OK with me. I'd prefer one without a park bench spoiler.

Now if the Evo only had the interior quality of a GTI, a car which I still think is overall a better ride.

I guess Mitsu got what it wanted from reading the last couple posts...They wanted people that dont care about 0-60 times...and they got them.

0-60 times are of very little importance to me, I could really care less. I don't race all that really matters to me is how a car feels/drives as well as comfort/features and value.

Thats not to say I want a slow car, but IMO anything under 6 seconds 0-60 is fairly quick.

I had a slow car (ie. 1.9L Z3) and it was burning me up that it was slower than an AT Maxima for example. Taking off from a stoplight I prefer a car thats quick by normal car standards (ie. S2000 or EVO X for example) I don't need something that is warp speed quick.

What track tests have there been? All I remember seeing is something about skidpad being higher and reviewers said it felt faster in corners or something. How long has it been since those reviewers had a IX on the same roadway to compare?

I think you are crazy, but I'm not fan of VWs.
