External fuel containers
I'm trying to buy a yamaha tw200
but my only problem with the bike is the size of the fuel tank
. It can only hold 1.9 gals of fuel, but the good thing is the bike will average out 70 mpg
. I'm new to adventure riding and would like to bungy a external fuel tank to the rear of the bike, I would hate to run out of fuel in the middle of the boonies
. What I want to know is this, does the fuel go bad if it sits in the container for a long time? Sorry if its a newb question!

Yes, but the time to "go bad" is at least weeks. If you need storage for over a month you should add a fuel stabilizer, such as Stabil, to the jug. But you'd be better off to cycle the gas through your main tank regularly and replace the jug's contents instead.
