f20 in a del sol?
my freind wants to swap an f20 into his del sol
i was wondering how hard it might be, if its even possible, and other opinions u might have
i was also wondering if anything might need to be upgraded to handle the extra horsepower, such as the differential or whatnot

It would be rediculously hard. Del sol's are front wheel drive, S2000's are rear... that's just the start of your problems.
I'm sure it's possible, but seriously doubt it'd be cheaper than just buying an S2000.
More feasible options would be a "B series" or "H series" motor; B16, B18, H22... I'm not really sure which ones. There are websites that explain what motors fit in what cars. Google "del sol engine swap". Maybe he should look into a turbo also.
Hope that helps a little more than the previous posts...

the other problem is the D and B series spin clockwise. The F2xC and K spin counter-clockwise.
you can swap a K into a Del Sol as they mate to a FWD transmission. The F series cannot do that without a custom bell housing being made. BTW, a K swap is probably better as it is done semi-regularly.
BTW the F2xC and K series are very similar. The F2xC could be considered the prototype for the K series.
When you refer to F20 I am assuming you mean the F20C from the S2000. There is a F20B, too...and you can swap that in. The F20B (a JDM engine from the Accord, very similar to the H series) shares almost nothing in common with the S2000 engine. Completely different.
