first.....there truely are people out there who HONESTLY believe that doing this will make some people believe that what they put on their cars is truely on it........case in point...I have a friend who has a Civic (1999) and he went out and spent the money for an intercooler that is not connected to anything. so that when he pulls up behind people, they think he has a turbo. he also put an SI sticker on it even though it's in a color that the SI never came in, and to add insult to injury....he left the LX trim designation on.

secondly.......there is a type of person out there that has enough sense to know that people don't keep up with what is new and current or even factual when it comes to automobiles. My former brother in law bought a 1987 Porsche 944 turbo in damn near mint condition except it has been sitting up not running for 3 years before he got it. and swears up and down that people are not astute enough to know that that car15 years old. "when I pull up at a light people don't know if it's a 2002 or an 87."


as proposterous as it sounds......there are people out there like that.
