Default Finally! There is a God...

Today I read the write up on the main S2KI page and was overwhelmed with joy. Drew did an excellent job explaining key factors that separate the S from the rest. I have said this forever but always got persecuted by Steve C and the like. Evos and Stis aren't better than the S, period. If you are a drag racer then go buy one of those because I don't want you owning the S. You don't deserve it. If you hit the windy roads, autocross, or blaze a circuit than you got the right machine. I hate this modern wave of turbo cars because it encourages the brain dead idiots that think they are better than you because their car can accelerate faster in a straight line. After driving my friends '06 sti and other buddy's '05 evo, I can honestly say i don't and won't want one. They are not the precision machine that Honda has built and never will be. So, those are my thoughts and if I p*ssed you off ..... ....toooooo baaaaaad!

You must run and hide when somebody calls out your small penis.

How come when I race other STI's and EVO's drag or in the wet I always lose?

Have you ever considered that those cars just have been tuned better than the rest. I'm sure if you put enough money into either of the cars it raced against it would beat the S2000. Please step off the Honda high horse.

I agree, picking apart that article is a bit like throwing rocks at preschoolers .. but hey why not. A couple of things are obvious from the start, the guy has very little knowledge about cars in general and some inferiority complex associated with faster and cheaper cars. Bleh, whatever. Neither are my cup of tea either .. but then comparing 4 door sedans to 2 door convertibles is rather off in the first place.

In reality that bit of "journalism" is a hand-job thrown out to all of the brainwashed fanboys -- from one. Had the article included a picture included it would have probably looked something like this:

My favorite bit:

You think he knows where the Integra Type R and Civic Type R came from?
Its Ok Steve, this is a Honda forum and we have to abide by the rules.

But I must say that as much as the Evo excels in the performance department, it is shunted by the horrid reliability and therefore not much better than the S with its minimal weaknesses.

First, let me say that I fully admit to being out-of-my-****ing-mind-in-love with the S2000, and that as far as I'm concerned, it's a damn near perfect car, and I would be thrilled if they left it alone, and I was able to buy a brand new one just like it is now in 50 years; but that guy's a tard, and so are you if that article is what finally got you off your agnosticism kick. He didn't even touch on the things that actually do make the S2000 a better car in some respects. All he did was spill a bunch of barely half-truths, which even if completely accurate, would still be inconsequential.

oshp515,

I don't disagree that faster doesn't always equal better. Also, I'm not a street racer so I'm not really concerned about getting blown away by other cars.
I'm curious if you've ever driven an early Miata. Compared to the early Miatas the S is a bit numb feeling. This is especially true of the steering. I'm not posting this to egg you on, I really am just asking.

I thought the article was an attempt to make up for the slower car's performance numbers.....
