Why should he just post in the Porsche forums?

An alignment is an alignment that all cars have to get done wether a Honda or a Porsche.

I'm curious about the service as well and if the deal is worth it considering the techs they have and the amount of times they make mistakes.

I would want to know how close they will match the specs you provide. If they say they will just get within 1/2 a degree, no deal!

A buddy of mine did it for his street only car and it was great. I have heard some people have used it for track cars with their own specs and it went fine, but I've heard other people couldn't get them to do more race oriented alignments. I guess it just depends on what you want to use it for. Not all alignment shops are created equal. First time I took the evo for a track alignment the guy didn't know about flipping the camber bolt around and could only get 1 degree instead of 2.

An alignment is only as good as the tech doing it, the name over the front door is relatively meaningless. I had a lifetime alignment done on my last S2000 to UK specs, and they took their time and did a fantastic job. Turns out all the guys in the shop were car nuts.

A friend got an alignment at Firestone, and they dogged his car during a "test drive".

It's a great deal, whether or not it works for you is entirely dependent on whether you can find a local location(s) that you're comfortable will do a good job.

We bought one for the Suburban. Every 5k it goes in for rotation and alignment. Tires look like they will last forever. They are a little slow, but so far, no joy riding.
