Don't bother with any FM transmitters - spend the money wiring the iPod directly into the stereo. It costs almost the same AND IS A HUNDRED TIMES BETTER - you can find outhow in the Electronoics FAQ.

I have a cheap fm transmitter I bought at PepBoys. Works OK but I prefer using a pair of Etymotic Research earplug speakers while in the S. Road noise is down greater than 30db and the sound quality is excellent. Works great while riding my FJR1300 as well as any other noisy activity like mowing the lawn.

The ER-4P is what I have but the ER-6i will work for about half the price.

Right now, this is a great deal. $99 for something that usually runs for $300-$40.

http://store.monstercable.com/icruze/ It's $99 for everything, including the display.

I got the iTrip for my girlfriend. When it works it's great. Too bad it's very buggy and half the time it doesn't work with her Gen 3 iPod. Personally, I would figure out how to hardwire the radio to the car. The S's headunit may offer a way to directly wire it (CD changer emulator). If not, many stores sell these: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Jt8wYYcOpEL/c...or&i=142FMMOD01
Basically it connects to the car's antenna. Unlike the itrip type FM modulators, this one cuts off the external antenna when you turn it on so no interference. I've heard these generally work nicely. Think of the old FM radio interfaces for trunk changers.
The next step up in price and performance would be one of the iPod specific interfaces.

i used the monster cable one. make sure you get the one which you can program the frequency with (not the preset one).
i switch between cars so connecting directly wasn't an option for me. hope that helps
