I am a car dealer here in Orlando, I was at the auction the other day and a car struck me as just stunning. A car that no one would think about, no one really carred about. But in its own is a beautiful piece of machinery.

The car I saw was this


There it was, who would have thought a 10 year old Volvo would catch my eye. But it did.

That got me thinking. How many other cars are out there like this one. Beautiful but forgotten about. Art work that has just been missed out on over the years. Normal cars that just shine with design and class but get over shined by the Lambo's and Zonda's of the world.

Make me want a big wall poster of a C70 for in my garage.

So what else is out there that is has pulchritude that we dont think about?

 

My mother-in-law owned a C70 like you have picked (conv. though), and I drove it many times on road trips---that car is a POS unfortunately, especially considering that it was very expensive new (in the $40-50k range).

 

Ohh yeah.
I stood at the auction block and watched this one sell super cheap. I still did not buy it. I dont want to deal with the problems.

 

I've always loved these.

 

My ex-girlfriend's dad had a '82 633 csi -- beautiful car! Maybe not as forgotten as some cars, but it had timeless, unique, beautiful lines. I miss it more than the girl

 

Some cars that come to my mind; MBW 840, VW Corrado, 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT(some what) 3000gt, 300zx
