Nope it's a Miata, no hate pls. No but actually why do people hate Miata's, they handle just as well as our car's, albeit with more squeaks and rattles. Why can't S2000's and Miata's get along!

Personally, because i think they are incredibly ugly and every person I've ever talked to driving one is a douche.

I agree that they are kind of gross looking, you can make them look good with a thousand thrown at them though. Where I live it's usually older men driving them, and I never thought any were douche's, maybe where you live you got a high concentration of "boy racer my car is better than your's types".

I was actually briefly considering buying a Miata before I broke down and took out a loan for my S2000.

They're great cars. 50/50 weight distribution, large aftermarket, lightweight, reliable engine... They may not make a lot of power, but they feel "peppy" and have enough to offer to have some fun on the track.

If I had been shorter on money 2 years ago I probably would have gotten a Miata instead of my S lol.

I don't think there is much S2000 vs Miata hate. Anyone who drives an S2000 should be thankful that Mazda paved the way with the Miata. Same goes for Boxster, Z4, etc etc.

I tend to agree with this. I suspect most of the Miata hate comes from people who drive much larger, heavier, more powerful vehicles. In that sense, they have a hard time understanding how anyone could enjoy something so small and seemingly underpowered.

I've got no beef with Miatas.

I drove this sweet 93 LE around in between S2000. One of the purest drivers cars I have had the chance to own. I should have kept it but my fit in it was marginal and I think it was making my back hurt. Had a few fun months with her and let a guy in Alaska have her for what I had into it (I got a great deal from the original owner).

I do believe there were certain other cars that led the way for the Miata, some guy named Chapman designed them. Then a little Honda came along, the predecessor to the S2000, then the Miata.
