Thoughtful insight...

Being "harsh" or not, if you dont take a Viper to the track and just drive it within legal limits it is a waste of money.
That's when it occurred to me that I would have to be in the advanced class if I ever wanted to enjoy the viper at any track events. Currently, I'm nowhere near that point in my driver education career to be in the advanced PCA class. The Viper is really a fast car that can hunt down anything on a straightaway with ease and take corners at higher limits than most cars on the track. Hope it makes better sense to you now.
Definitely not true. You can take a fast/nice car in slower run groups and do just fine. People will point you by. Are there trains at times? Sure, but trains will form in intermediate and higher run groups as well. Ultimately the only reason to not take your nice new toy to the track is you being scared/nervous, and getting a bruised ego when you give the point by to a Miata.

Ultimately hey, I get that 99% of people just like to putz around in their fast/fancy car and stand in the garage and rub one out on the fender. I know plenty of people that fit this description. They think the car is "art" more than anything. That's not my cup of tea but it's a free country and people can do as they please.
