what do you guys think? It's pretty bold, and it appears these guys have/are putting alot of work into getting this thing into a full scale production vehicle.

ninja edit: I still dunno about the whole "hybrid" thing. it's expensive to make, and it will be worse for the environment when those batteries die. but who knows?

Its hard, IMHO, to take something that jetsons-esque seriously. I think that is one of the real successes of the tesla...that it is a real car. This one looks a bit too 1950's Popular Science cover car, and I am afraid that will ultimately limit its mass appeal.

Tesla is not a "real car" yet. They have full 100k Deposits, but have not deliever yet. And they just fired their founder.

Why would you buy this BoeingGM looking thing when the Smart Car is here (coming so very soon)?!!

I'm actually considering a Smart if all goes well with the company merger. $13k and change out the door...

Been thinking about getting a Smart as a car to drive to and from work.

The Aptera, like the style. If they can get it to market and would have the power as a daily driver. Same price range as the smart,..would buy one.

I'd LOVE a Smart Roadster, perfect for a Hayabusa engine swap! Too bad they don't make 'em anymore, and they were never sold here...
