Goodbye S2000
Well, after my car got totaled as a result of my seats being stolen, I decided to get the G37S Coupe. It's a much different car from what I'm used to driving the past 9 years (MR2 and S2000) but it's a fantastic car! It's much bigger, and luxurious than my two prior cars. It's similar to my old 87 Supra in a way since it's a comfortable GT. Plus, I'm a sucker for technological gadgets in a car so that's a refreshing change. However, the clutch will take a lot of getting used to. It certainly has plenty of power and the delivery is very linear with the new engine.
I decided to lease and bank the the money I got from the insurance company. Also, I didn't know if I would like it after 3 years. My next car I do plan on buying, though. It will probably be a Cayman S or an Audi R4.
It's been a great pleasure owning the S2000. Cherish it and appreciate it for it's a fantastic automobile still to this day that will always put a smile on my face. I was very sad when I saw it at the body shop at the time when they told me it was totaled.
I do have some new brake pads that I never used, still brand new in the box that I plan on selling.

Out of curiosity, did you consider waiting for the much-rumored '09 370Z? It would not be as practical, but if they get the design right, use the 3.7 AND get the weight down closer to 3000lbs (as rumored) I would consider it myself.
