Goodbye S2000
Amazing how stolen seats in our S2000 can total out the car.
If my seats were stolen, the insurance company would certainly total the car...figuring seats are $8k and if they slash the top to get in...that's another $2k. $10k on a 2002 S2000 = total loss.

Sucks. Enjoy your new G37 and share some pics... I'm a "visual" person.

that's funny. I just let go of my G35 today and keeping the S2000. A little sad to see the G go. It has been a part of my life for the past 4 years.

Out of curiosity, did you consider waiting for the much-rumored '09 370Z? It would not be as practical, but if they get the design right, use the 3.7 AND get the weight down closer to 3000lbs (as rumored) I would consider it myself.
I am very anxiously awaiting the 370Z. Since it appears that Nissan is going after the Cayman S, I will strongly consider purchasing it as a much cheaper alternative if it's designed right.
I will post pics soon.
Unfortunately older S2000s can get totaled if the seats are stolen since to replace them brand new is 6000 a piece, and believe me my car was bone stock and immaculate. That's why my insurance company gave me a very fairly appraised value upon settlement, which I am not complaining.

WHy? Whatcha getting now?
I live 0.5 mile from work and ride my bike or walk there.
in a typical week I put more miles on my bike (exercise) than on my car. Next year I am getting a more practical car, either an LS430 or a Odyssey.
