Got a cam question
A friend of mine is having a cam gear, underdrive pulleys, and a timing belt installed on his sohc Del Sol. His mechanic mentioned why not swap out for a better cam while he's in there only creating another half-hours work. Now I don't know much about sohc motors so I don't know which direction to steer him. He wants to know which cam to go with (company wise, type, etc.) He doesn't need anything jdm specific and basically wants the best bang for the buck without breaking his pocket. Any ideas and prices?
Thank you,
Chris
Thank you,

I used to deal with SRR cams. SRR specialized in SOHC D15/16 engines and their quality is pretty good for it's price. I don't know how much you can get them for but I assume about $200-$300.
Good luck

Is it a del Sol S or Si? If an S, he might look into swapping the Si head on there, from a D16Z6.
I don't know about now, but back in the day Bullfrog Cams made a nice cam for the SOHC VTEC engine.
