The sad truth is that there are tons of these people out there. Granted Hyundai used to be bad, but they have gone a long way.

I can even admit they they are making huge strides whereas the beloved Honda is falling fast.

But maybe you guys are right .. Hyundai will not take out the major Jap manufacturers, because there will always be those people who cant get over the badge.

Sad.
Why is Honda falling fast? They are definitely getting more expensive, but reliability and quality is as good as ever, it seems.

Back on topic, Hyundai is definitely making strides and has come a long way since their cars of the earlier 90s.

I read somewhere that the 2.0t motor is based on the same global architecture shared with the evo x and caliber srt4 motors. I think the Hyundai spokesperson said the stock internals could handle 29lbs of boost but it was tuned down to widen the gap with the optional v6.
29lbs doesn't mean anything. On what turbo?

This is strictly YOUR opinion, and yours only. Millions of people think the new Camry is both nice and good. The new Camry is selling more than ever, and it sold a lot before. The Tundra isn't a dud either. It's a good, powerful truck.

Honda is falling fast.
Honda is profiting more than ever, and they're expanding into other markets, such as jets, robotics, etc.

He's more or less correct and it's not just his opinion. Toyota has on several occasions admitted they need to get back to the basics and that their world wide expansion has caused their quality to suffer. We talk down about Honda for their conservative and bland line-up but their quality is still there and if I'm not mistaken #1 across most catagories. Toyota has slipped significantly, not including Lexus. They have focused so much on Lexus and their truck line-up that it's inevitable other areas will suffer.

The interior of the camry is more on par with a civic than an accord at this point. It makes almost zero difference to me but I know to a lot of people it does. Toyota and Honda both have had their transmission issues as well.

I don't think 300HP in a $25,000 car is revolutionary at all. Just look at the current 350Z. The base model can be had for $26k (invoice 26,350) and has slightly more than 300HP. Good strides for Hyundai but not revolutionary.

However, it would be very sweet if it weighed under 3000 lbs.

Epic Failed! Toyota are slipping on this ladder more than ever before for this company. It seem their focus is similar to GM when they were the largest car company. Mass production and volume sales. They recently admitted that their new assembly line employees goes through 3 months of training compare to 6 months like before. I'm not saying Toyota quality are like GM, but to keep thinking that their product quality were the same as in the 90's without doing any kind of reading or research is just plain ignorant.
