H3
My opinion: GM should've stuck the 4.2 Straight-6 or the 4.8 V8 into the H3.
It's big and flabby-lookin' too, on top of still being inordinately expensive because it's a Hummer. If anyone were looking to get a GM truck for off-roading, I'd say get a Colorado with 4WD, offraod package and the I5. Narrower truck, lighter, and you'll be able to go more places than with something that's probably a good foot wider because of the body alone. Hard off-roading requires a relatively narrow vehicle in some cases.
The H1 is definitely the real thing, but I don't mind necessarily that they make 2 more domesticated models. I'm sure an H2 offraods better than a lot of other trucks out there.

A few weekends ago, I was invited to go through the offroad performance trail at my local Hummer dealer (Lynch Hummer-the largest in the world). The trail is pretty hardcore considering that they take people with ZERO experience. Hell, you only had to be 16 to drive. Anyways, they had about 20 or so cars which comprised of 2 H1s (leader and follow up at the back) and then the rest were equally divided of H2s and H3s. Let me tell you, everywhere the H1 and H2 could go, the H3 was right there with it. I was really impressed with it's offroad capabilities! You know your car can really perform offroad when you can see the guy in front of you through the SUNROOF!
I love the new commercial with the giant robot and the monster that have a baby H3, but I think the cars are ass.
To each there own, I just dont see how they can be "fun" to drive unless you are off road. In traffic H1 and H2's are like school busses and the H3 is kind of a poser. And if I was going to off-road it would be Wrangler, no top. I sold my old Willy's.

The H2 and the H3 are, quite simply, overpriced hunks of shit. Seriously, go sit in one for a few minutes and take a look at the interior - hard plastic, unfinished dashboard, poor design/engineering (hint: take a look at how the center console opens in the H2, then imagine a passenger trying to access it). Sit in a Cavalier afterwards and compare things like HVAC dials. Hmm.
Both are eyesores on the road and hazards to anyone else driving. The H2 gets 12 mpg, which is socially irresponsible (we're talking tens to hundreds of thousands of these on the road vs. 500 F430's, which get the same mileage). If you can justify why on earth you would truly need an H2, I'll give you $10. Seriously, unless you live somewhere "extreme," there is no need for one. In fact, if you live somewhere where the elements are that bad, I'd suggest about 5 other vehicles that are more capable of getting you from point A to point B (Land Rover, Land Cruiser, any Jeep).
Finally, the H3 is for posers. The 220 hp I5? Why the hell did GM design the car so that their ubiquitous V6 wouldn't fit??? I'm not sure how they'll shoehorn a V8 in there, as was suggested (I really haven't looked into it, so maybe it is possible, but unlikely) by someone else.
God, I hate the Hummer line of SUVs. They'll be the end of GM (and I'm not a GM hater, I was really looking forward to the Kappa platform) - Hummers have taken the focus away from GM producing meaningful mid-size cars to compete with Toyota and Honda, and basically killed (or delayed) the re-release of the Camaro and Firebird. Ugh, I hate those soulless beasts.

Between the three Hummers, the H2 is the only one worth getting. They all offer bad aerodynamics, lousy driving on road, and poor fuel economy, but the H2 does it with the right amount of driver comfort, power, and storage capacity. The H3 is junk imo due to its weazy engine and cramped confines.
