my dad and i test drove the sl500. my dad says "the electronics just kill the fun; the car drives and handles too artificially. the ABC creates a false sense of stability, so much so that it's hard to tell when you're approaching the car's limit."
that's not to say that it is not seriously fast; i can only imagine how fast the amg version is
i would trade my baby in for either the sl500 or sl55. i would most definitely pick an sl55 over a 996tt... but not a gt2!
btw, is the 930 the flatnose? and do you have pics of your ruf?
Thanks for the input Alex I can see how that "over electronics" of the SL would take away from the fun. The Porsche is not a slope, not a huge fan of the slope nose I think it takes away from the classic look that I love so much, as far as picts, I do have some, soon to come
a good friend of mine just got the sl500 and she took me for a ride in it. that car is visually stunning. i must also say that the interior of the SL is amazing. it also has some very innovative and well thought-out feautures. i think she may try selling it for a profit and then springing for the amg version in the future. i'd love to get a ride in that car...
