There's also the issue of that car being huge! 200 hp will just make performance respectable, not fast.
you are all so pessimistic, think of the potential of upgrading the current range to turbo type r performance. Im sure it wont be too hard to put a bigger turbo on it, there should be a complete seperate type r range that honda sells, similair to what vxr has done with vauxhall. Im happy that honda are realising that people want these cars, im sure if they are doing this with the whole range then someone will bring up the s2000/nsx reintroduction........

Without the weight of batteries, I think they should be able to bring down the overall weight from ~2650 to the 2500-2550 range. And, yeah, I think 200hp in a 2500lb car is respectable.
As for the wing... if I'm taking a sweeper at 100mph, I don't want the tail of my car getting light, regardless of whether if it's RWD or FWD. I'd be pretty surprised if that wing comes on the standard TypeR version, though. I'd expect just a regular spoiler.
Of course, it's front engine, FWD. With the batteries in the back, it's already pushing a 60:40 weight distribution. I assume it's only going to get worse if they remove the batteries. So, I'd be more worried about that than I would be the other specs.

Am I the only one here who actually thinks this thing is pretty cool. I love the CR-Z's looks and if it had 160-200HP I'd be very happy to have it as my DD. If they took off the wing and the stickers it would look awesome IMO.

i wouldnt worry, honda arent going to make a rubbish handling car, seriously in all the development and planning that goes into cars and knowing hondas reputation are you seriously thinking that they are not going to think about weight distribution in a performance car. Im not a fan of wings, but then i cant honestly see honda leaving that wing on, just look at the origional pics of the crz before it was released and how much it changed. At least they are bringing back quicker engines and not going completely eco
