my buddy just finished selling his fit for something with a bit more power. they are great cars no doubt for someone trying to be budget minded, not to mention the resale value on them is incredible
my buddy bought the car new and traded it in about 9 months later with 7k miles and only lost 300 bucks (bought the car for 16k and got 15,700 from the dealership). thats pretty good IMO

I spoke with a new Fit owner last night. He didn't give a crap about looking at the the S2K, he wanted to show me all the cool stuff that came on his Fit.
Yeah, it was a cool little minivan. Props to him too for hand-machining a custom mirror mount for me.

All this tells you is best price per mpg.. it doesn't mean the FIT is the most economial, or the least expensive car to drive. Eventually you wil hit XXX miles where the $$ saved by buying less gas will outweigh the extra money spend on the purchase of the vehicle.

Now Im curious.. I want to test drive a FIT...
The interesting thing is that the civic gets almost the same MPG as the Fit ... so if you take that into consideration, what specialty does the Fit really have besides looking abnormally high and have fold down seats?

I love the Fit. It is our DD and I get about 90% of the wheel time. Already have racked up 4K miles in 2 months.
It is the perfect car for us while we live in Center City. I get to take spaces that no other cars (except mini's & smart cars) can fit into. To fill that bad boy up is now well under $40, since the tank is only 10.8 and I always get at least 300 miles out of a tank, much more if it is all highway. Have averaged 30 mpg since purchase and I am not easy on it, plus it is auto (The girl choose that since it is technically hers )
Also, I just moved and the amount of stuff that it can hold is sweet. It is also good for the puppy, since she gets the waaaay back part to leave fur and drool.
It is not the S2K in any sense, but the value for what you pay is phenomenal. Happy Honda Family over here!
