TOV NOTE: This release wasn't 100% clear, so I pinged Honda's PR people. Honda spokesman Sage Marie just rang me up and confirmed that the CR-Z is in fact coming to the USA, sometime following the yet-to-be-named Global Small Hybrid. He added that Fit Hybrid is not confirmed for our market, however.

Titan will be paid for by then
The CR-Z follows in the tyre tracks of the Insight, the two-seat coupe that arrived in the late Nineties. The two cars will share a few styling and aero cues, especially at the wind tunnel-honed rear end. Expect the CR-Z in early 2010.

Hey Triple H,
Hybrid Honda CR-Z Gets Green Light
After yesterday's announcement of the Hybrid Honda Fit and continuation of the Civic Hybrid, Honda has announced it will be building a hybrid version of the radical CRX inspired Honda CR-Z Concept. This sounds like the standalone model Prius fighter noted yesterday as it will be adapted for five door, five passenger duty. We don't really care about the marketing, but we're just excited by the idea of compact, tossable high fuel mileage hot hatch.
