Looks like Mugen wants to play too.

From the article:
Honda aftermarket firm Mugen has wasted absolutely no time in creating a new styling upgrade for the just-released Honda S660 Roadster. With an obvious attempt at toughening up the spiky little kei car, Mugen has revealed an aerodynamics package that adds new bumpers, extended side sills, a new spoiler, new front grille, darkened taillights, new 15- and 16-inch rims, and a new hardtop.

I changed my mind a little. It is still not GOOD looking, but the blue one in the video is a bit ugly-cool. It would be kind of fun, cheap, get super mileage and run for two million years on that engine. I suppose for a lot of people it would be a fairly cool car.

Speaking of dinky engines, my boss just traded in his first gen Honda Insight with 345,000 miles on it for a new Prius. Two replacement battery packs, normal wear and tear parts, and nothing else went wrong. Not bad for a little tin can.

I would get one if Honda put like a 1.5L turbo on it. Sadly, I don't think it could get here since the crash test will "kill it"

It looks like the new Gen NSX as an open top micromachine (if anyone remembers those)

Look's like the very young lead engineer owns an S2000 !

My link

[he] drives a Honda S2000 open-top sportscar to work, Mukumoto likes to zip through the mountain roads of Tochigi, an area north of Tokyo that’s famous for its Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. “I feel like I can have conversations with the car driving there,”

I love the interior. I bet it's a blast to drive at that weight. Step in the right direction in my opinion. The seats resemble the S. Too bad we'll most likely never see it in the states.

Well, it's not gorgeous, but I would still be more interested in buying one of these than most of the oversized/overweight/overwrought/overpriced monstrosities on the market now that pass for sports cars...

That said, 1.1g in the corner? Gotta love a small car with ultra-sticky tires!
