how much does 400lbs make a difference?
The g37 is coming out with a hardtop convertible but it will weigh 400 lbs more. The g37s coupe is a great car and im highly considering it.
But the convertible is an awesome feature. But is it worth the extra weight?

You going to be racing on the street?
Or are you buying the car because 9/10 times your driving on pedestrian roads?
Why not just get what YOU want.

Would you enjoy your S2000 as much if it weighed 3250 pounds?

The G37 is a GT coupe/sedan, should not be compared to agile cars like the S2000.
I'd doubt you'd feel much of the 400lbs while driving around town. The car is comfortable cruiser.

You don't need to be racing to notice 400 extra pounds.

And if it did, it doesn't have a suspension built around that fact. Nor a powerplant that pumps out 330 flywheel hp...
I can tell a big difference behind the wheel in the weight of my Miata and an S2000 (~450 lbs). M3 convertibles have always been crippled from the weight gain and loss of body rigidity. Go find an M3 (or 335) coupe and convertible to drive back to back - there's your answer. I wouldn't do it.
