Default How the NSX is built

http://blog.caranddriver.com/dream-w...-nsx-supercar/

Neat read.

A few interesting tidbits:

1. Engines are fully broken in at the factory - you can take your car to the track right off the showroom floor, if you wish

2. Each engine is hand-built by a single technician.

3. Crankshaft balancing occurs after the dyno test, once the electric motors flywheel and rotor have been installed.

10-12 days to manufacture an NSX.

Easy to see why the MSRP is quite attractive for the level of engineering and care done to the NSX at every phase of the process.

While I may not care for the new NSX... the fabrication process is absolutely intriguing and brilliant!

Really cool stuff

From the article;

"PMC experts contend that a human touch is necessary to guarantee an even piano-black coating to every nook and cranny. "

I am glad we humans still can out perform machines
