I am ready for a sub-50k dual clutch flappy paddle
Maybe I've played too much Gran Turismo, or maybe I'm just in my mid 30s and lazy as shit nowadays, but I want a flappy paddle gearbox sports car. Sure, the purist in me is cussing right now, but the efficiency of the lightening fast shifts, the precision, and the ability of keeping both hands at 9 and 3 appeals to my millennial brain.
Are you on board yet? Or is there something missing in the technology that you still need to see?

The double clutch fancy stuff is barely faster than the slushbox with paddles IMO.
PDK has a nice mechanical feeling through the car, but wasn't realistically faster than my ZF with paddles in the XK.
Comes down to "Column or wheel mounted shifters".

I've been driving manuals for at least 30 years, so yea, I'm ready for some brilliant PDK. I just don't know if the brilliance of PDK is hype. In reality, is it really just another automatic?
I don't know if PDK or the Corvette 8 speed auto would become boring after a little while.
You never really know about these things until you own the car for a month at least, a test drive won't reveal what you want to know.

It is, as an option only, on most Lotus cars now, but all the reviews say that the 240 millisecond shifts actually feel sort of slow. The market for DCTs is great in Japan and Europe, but we Americans bitch so much about things changing that the market suffers here.

DCT in the brothers M4 is phenomenal. The paddles on the wife's 435i is almost as nice.
I don't need or pine for a third pedal in every vehicle I own or drive.
