I am really getting sick of the s2000
I have owned my s2000 for 2.5 years and I am really getting sick of it. It definitely has its fun but it has so many damn faults that I cannot take it. I know for the price it really cannot be topped by many cars but I think I am done. The car definitely has a few advantages and every fault can be overcome. But I do not want to spend a couple grand trying to fix what is wrong with is. Faults such as anemic powerband, horrid audio, and creaks galore have taken its toll on me.
I think it is time to part out the car and and get something with a little more punch. I am sure some of you remember the new car comparo I posted a while back and I think the the e92 M3 is a car I would truly be happy with. The looks, the sound, the power, the options, and uniqueness are all traits which put the car in its own league. The m3 has ALWAYS been a car which others need to measure up to. It may not have always been the best in any specific category, but it has always been a car which is a complete package. With the exception of the 911 Carrera, the m3 is the best sports car for the money hands down. I will always miss the better handling of the Honda but the difference is something I will have to live with (better weight dist., 700 less pounds, and lower center of gravity are sure hard to compare to).
Sure it costs almost double an S2000 but get what you deserve (and then some). Now I need to do something about my income.....

You afraid to mod or something?
There is nothing "wrong" with our cars. I still can't understand why people who are hungry for power even bother with this car. You should have bought an e46 m3 to begin with if you don't enjoy the qualities of a s2000.
Good luck with your next car.

You're gonna get some shit here, obviously, but I think your feelings make sense. The S2000 is a great car, but its appeal can be limited, and wearing after 2.5 years. E9X M3s are great cars. I like the manual, no-I-drive sedan the best. If you can afford one, go for it. If $60K is too much, there's lotsa great choices for $40K (Cayman S, Corvette, 335i, etc.).
