Default Ideas ripped from s2000

Have you all noticed that the new Miata, solstice, sky, and Lexus are all ripping ideas from the s2000.

Just got my s2000 over the summer. seems to be a trend setter...

Well, I wish the Honda would rip some ideas off the miata and the Z4 and get us a top that folds in a Z shape so we don't need a boot cover.

I agree with you in one sense that it would make the car look much better especially if they had cowls coming all the way up to the headrests. However I enjoy the quickness the top provides me. I love being able to put it down in 6 seconds when i want to. Other tops take so much longer. The 350z was atleast 20 seconds.

I do not agree with the Z folding tops. Think about it.... the top portion of the top NEVER escapes the sunlight........ That means that after two years, you will be able to see a difference in color between the front quarter and the rest of the top, unlike outs which bleaches uniformaly in the sun. Have you ever noticed the inside front portion of our tops??? Imagine if your outer top looked that way.

man, when i saw the title, i was thinking this exact same thing. and i don't care if it takes a second or two longer to close the top. sucks huh that they didn't think of it in the first place, the tops look relatively the same size/shape. oh well.
