Ideas ripped from s2000

I do not agree with the Z folding tops. Think about it.... the top portion of the top NEVER escapes the sunlight........ That means that after two years, you will be able to see a diffrence in color between the front quarter and the rest of the top, unlike outrs which bleaches uniformaly in the sun. Have tou ever noticed the inside front portion of our tops??? Imagine if your outer top looked that way.
The cupholders were copied
The S2000 had a lot of technology on it that wasn't widely avail on most cars in 1999, but technology adoption is normal. The S was just ahead of the curve. I can't think of anything that was outright copied/stolen though.

I'm with a few others here...exactly what did the other companies borrow or steal from the S2000 that hasn't already existed?
The dash design certainly has not been "stolen", unless you count the "function drawer" in the new Lexus GS as a tangential spin on Honda's in-your-face S2000 dash. The body style? Eh, not really...it's a more angular, butch Miata shape.
I would say the only thing the S2000 maybe put in everyone's head (but did not revolutionize) as an ergonomic nicety is the short-throw shifter.
Beyond that, I don't think there's about nothing on the S2000 that had never been done before. It's still a very desirable car, but I'm not seeing where its striking originality is stemming from.

Have you all noticed that the new Miata, solstice, sky, and Lexus are all ripping ideas from the s2000.
Just got my s2000 over the summer. seems to be a trend setter...

Well, I wish the Honda would rip some ideas off the miata and the Z4 and get us a top that folds in a Z shape so we don't need a boot cover.

I'm with you, although I seriously doubt I would trade my car just to get a new tonneau cover.
