Not for me. I'm not really into retro. If I want to look like I came out of the 1970s, I'll get a 1970s car for $300 and save a lot of money. I'm sure it'll be a hit with all the kids sporting the Ashton Kutcher shag haircut or Art Garfunkel mega afro these days , however.

I'm looking forward to a test drive...

Gut it out, put a cage in it and it still weighs more than 3000lbs-

still- can't argue with the bang for the buck potential.

I think it is a great improvement over the old model and 300 hp out of the box is a nice touch. Not my type of car but would like a test drive for the heck of it.

Rented the last model a couple times in V6 and V8 form, and that old platform was horrible. I thought the car was junky, though not as bad as a firebird. An all new platform will hopefully change all that.

I agree, Ford has this nostalgia thing down pat. Having owned a '67 fastback
30 years ago, I can appreciate it.

I currently own a s2k, but i looked close at a rx8, and to me, from about mid car all the way to the rear, it looks very similar to the rx8, mostly because of the styling on the quarter panal. Is it just me?

I dig it. . . but I dig things that have a "retro-forward" thing going for them . . . then again, that's why I bought the S2K: MG and Alfa aren't re-releasing their roadsters to the U.S. any time soon.

Even then, the 'Stang was a muscle car, and still is. Same with the '06 Charger. . .

The bulge over the rear wheel well looks like an RX-8, but nothing else remindes me of the 8. It looks like it has an antenna on the front fender (eeyow) and the front of the car has a kind of sad frown look to it.

The back side looks like it was taken from the 1998-2002 accord coupe.

I think it looks great. It is really only a little heavy for its class. Thsi car ewill compete with the G35 Coupe and the 350 Z, not the S2000. I am strongly considering one for my daily driver.
