actually, many feel getting the FX45 as being a vast waste. The FX35 comes with 280bhp. The FX45 comes with 35 more bhp, and its a little heavier, and costs about 10K more. Also i'm kinda scared to get a V8 with gas prices. If the price difference were say 5K i'd probably think about it very heavily, but if its like 10,000, i'm going FX35 all the way.

Mav: congrats on the X3, i'm sure the deals comin on those things are sweet as hell.

xpander, I've test driven both the FX35 and FX45. IMO the FX35 offers plenty of power. I don't see the reason to move up to the V8, especially down here in Miami. You should drive both and see which one you prefer.

FX35 is a very good buy! 20" wheels is a must.

Unless $10,000 is nothing to you, if thats the case, get the FX45, otherwise, a FX35 is good enough.

Stiff, but really really comfortable....or just Stiff?

Stiff in what way? Is it a great tourer?

We tested both the 35 and 45 and felt the "extra" power, higher price, and less MPG wasn't worth it. When I walked in I figured it would be 45 or nothing and left thinking the 35 was the only way to go. Eventually ordered the liquid Copper w/ sport suspension (20" etc) and love it!

The ride is firm but not overly so IMO.

Also might check this out.^^

The only issue so far is squeaking brakes when in rev ond what seems like a less than perfect finish on the chrome (plastic). Haven't received a fix for the brakes yet and going to live with the chrome unless it gets worse and just have it replaced.

My wife digs it. We are going to lease one for her as soon as we sell her (awful) 02 Eclipse Spyder.
