It is funny, as soon as I saw it I thought BERTONE. I'd still prefer a Pantera, but that thing would be cool to go to 7/11 in.

You got it:
This car was built for a man who saw a vehicle in ITALY designed & built on an Alfa-Romeo drive train by Bertone Studios (in Italy) and wanted to buy it. Bertone would not sell it to him. It was called a Carabo by Bertone. [snip] So the man came back to California & hired SAM FOOSE who is the father of the now well known Chip Foose.

Something like Carabo?
It first looked like every Bertone car I've ever seen and what was funny to me that it was. That design studio was pretty much a one trick pony during that decade
