Nobody wants a gussied up Accord coupe, which is what would happen if Acura built a coupe these days.

Acura and Honda have made DNA choices that have not panned out so well. They are slowly trying to smooth out their design mis-steps, but it's too little, too late. Acura is just not an attractive car. Plain and simple. I am not disputing their manufacturing and quality. Still think Honda makes one of the best engines in every category they make engines in, but who ever signed off on their long term design ethos I would've fired a decade ago. You know it bad when entry level Hondas are more attractive than top-of-the-range Acuras.

Honda/ Acura might be one of the few makes, where the previous models look better then the current model. E.g. 2011 Si, 2008 TL, 2011 Accord

Usually a manufacture comes out with a updated model and it makes the owner want to trade theirs in for the latest edition, because it makes their look dated... But not the latest select Honda/ Acuras.

It'd be based off the TLX, not the Accord, in all probability as it'd get SH-AWD.

Yes, the TLX uses a modified Accord chassis but that's pretty common for all marques (Lexus / Audi do the same thing).

You think the old Honda Accord looks better than the current one?!

I'm talking the sedan....It's a toss up.

It certainly isn't gonna have many buyers trading in their 2008+ Accord sedans based off looks...

New Accord is a great looking car (for the segment) - only the Mazda6 is comparable (possibly better) and even then, only in certain colors! The last one was "meh".

Ask the salesmen (there are a few on here) and I think you'll find it's almost universally felt that the new ones are much better looking.

I, for one, definitely think the new Accord looks better than the model it replaced. The new one looks classy, and the last one looked kind of corny and Tonka truck-ish.
