Well the one good thing about mass production & sales is the aftermarket community will respond in kind. The first cars were delivered 1st-2nd week of August (when I got mine). It's now December and there is already a Stillen Supercharger, Greddy Twin Turbo, and a Japanese Single Turbo setups in the works. They have a CAI kit, a gang of exhuast (although only 1 or 2 have shown actually HP gains), and nismo has their own S kit out with Oil Cooler, New LSD and other goodies (although once again no HP gains, so in my mind a waste of $$$). Bottom line, NO they won't be as popular as Celicas because they are a two seater car, and at the end of the day that limits your buyers. And yes 30K a year is a lot of production for a car, but that will take quite some time to meet the 100K+ Boxters, 120K+ Z3 Models, and god knows how many BMW 3 Series that are already on the road. I will agree that exclusivitiy is neat and to be driving a car the no one has is fun, I know. I've been doing it for the last 4 months, and will continue to do so over the next 6-8, I still get looks, people asking about it, wanting me to pull over and check out the car etc. and i live in L.A. So for me having this car pretty much exclusivly for close to a year is great for me, after that I could care less how many people have this car.

No your numbers are off. Max output is at 30K Z33's a year, with a total of around 7K Pre-ordered Z's. I am pretty sure that the 30K output for NA includes the preorders for Aug 02 -Aug 03. Nissan has made statements that by year two Ad's will have slowed/stopped (which is why there is such a barrage now) and production will slow as market demand is met. I got my Z for -1000 under MSRP, but that is unqiue. I'm sure in a year there will be plenty of deals to be had.

let them make as many 350z's as they want... i'd much rather see a ton of 350z's and make each time i see an s2k that more "cool" i guess... i love seeing s2k's, i always want to go up to the owner and be like "you on s2ki
