Default Just bought an STI!!!

I just bought an STI, and I love It. Mind you, it will never beat an S2000 in the corners, but boy is that turbo fun! The STI is my "beater" car, as I traded my 500 hp wrx for it, granted, I save all the parts! It should be an interesting few months! anyways, let me tell you, the s2000 rules in a disgusting way in the handeling dept! my friend has a 550 maranello, and I schooled him on Mulholland! I'm proud!
My best!!!!

I figure an STI would be competitive with an S2000 in handling.

Most figures I have found for the Sti is .88 lateral G and the S2000 a .90. This feels right to me. The S2000 is a much more finesse based car, its so smooth. the Sti is brutal at best. Slaloms on an AutoX course are an arm work out. Its torque is just so brutal. the S2000 is predictable in a corner, you are going to get the same response every time. With AWD the Sti takes a lot more skill to drive. Take your foot off the gas in a corner and you under steer, stomp the gas and the car almost does a 90 degree turn with whip lash results. Then there is the DCCD, switch it around and the car behaves differently. I played with it an the Auotcross course and I found the 3rd selection down gave me some kick but times, it became real tail happy. as I went form the top down it went from a bit of under steer to balance (drifted a lot) to over steer (rear swinging out on command, I had my best times here). I have 7K miles on my St now (as much as each of the 2 S2000's I owned had before I sold them) and I

WOW!! STi=Beater I aspire to live like that! Congrats, I traded my WRX for the S. There are still many features of the WRX that I miss...Especially the turbo

I'm just joking on the "beater" thing. I'm really very lucky, and now I can focus all my attention on creating my "ultimate s2000". slowly but surely, I'll get it done. And also My S doesn't have to be my daily driver anymore! she'll finally get the attention she desrves. I will never give up on the S!!!!
