Default just some help needed

i have an 02 svs. earlier this year (late summer, early fall) i completely knocked out that restrictor plate in my exhasut. i notcied black smoke always comming out after that (running rich most likely???) well last time i tried to start my bike, it owuldnt start. i changed my spark plugs and they were burnt to hell. my only guess is that my bike is running really rich. what would you guys suggest right now, i was thinking i would desnorkel to lean it out a little. do i need to rejet or what.

any help needed/wanted.

Rejetting is a good call and probably the cheapest, have your bike dnyo'ed and run without the filter if u are running rich it will only pull in the top end of the gears thats a clue, another easy trick when u go to check it at the dealer is to have a used exhaust put on and the run it, any problems that come up will explain all if its a reputable dealer,, good luck
