i know someone owns an '86 jza70 (old school supras) and he was telling me how he 'burned' an S today on the freeway, I was at first skeptical and i was somewhat annoyed by his cockiness towards his stock old school supra. I assume it was the TT ver by his story of how he was pulling on the S.

Then he started attacking me and my S. = He kept nagging me to race him, but i didn't want to being that 1) i have nothign to prove 2) even if i do beat him, it's an 86 supra with a cocky hs kid who will probably bs the results to all his friends.

so i just wnated to know if anyone has any experience or further knowledge of this car and whatnot. the hs kid in me wants to race him to shut him up, the mature side of me says let it be.

 

Stock, they are slow. Mildly modded, they are still slow. Spend $5K+ on the engine, and they can be made insanely fast.

 

I guess I'll just havta find out myself.. this guy is super cocky tho.. 'let's race for pink slips' well, i might need a daily driver.. =0

 

Most Supra owners are like that. The JZA engine was forged by the hands of God in their eyes I assume your referring to like the MKIIs and whatnot. Well, the car is slow in stock form. It's not a TT, only the MKIV is a TT. Anyhow, like any other FI, it can be made extremely fast with basic boltons and FI stuff.
