GM is actually posting profits, though, which means they're getting something back. If they built cars like they build trucks, they'd be doing just fine.
Isnt that because they sold Subaru? Not becasue their *car* sales are doing better?

I'd buy a Tundra over a Ridgeline, but that's about it.

Bring back the Supra, dammit!

When the most exciting vehicle that Toyota makes is the IS350, I don't really care if they are the sales leader.

They make cars for the masses, not for the enthusiasts.
I hope your not implying that GM makes enthusiest cars either (except for the corvette)

um, well ya....

in case you haven't noticed, there are more "masses" than "enthusiasts".

who would've thunk that that philosophy would make money?

Actually, I am clown.

CTS-V
STS-V
XLR-V
GTO
C6
Z06

Hell, even the Cobalt SS Supercharged is more exciting than 99% of the Toyota offerings. The Impala SS is a more exciting sedan than the Camry BY FAR.

Name, one Toyota offering that even comes close to the above cars in it's class? There is NONE.

Now, I'm not saying that Toyota doesn't make money. They make boring, reliable cars that people buy, but I prefer some spice with my ride and Toyota just doesn't cut the mustard.

Deal with it.

Now that they are number 2, will they try harder?

OK we all know that the answer is no.

I am more worried about Honda as they seem to be passing out sleeping pills at the design center (Accord) and are going to get clanked by Hyundai (a shocking truth).

I would also like to give Toyota their due. I was a Honda junkie from the 80s. Since I got my IS 350, I could care less about Honda (including Acura).

c'mon quiky....

your 1st three offerings are caddys....sorry, other than a big motor, there is nothing remotely enthusiast-driven about those 3 caddys (or cadillac in general).

and the C6 and Z06 are both the same model - a corvette.

you're reaching man....deal with it.

yea, well, they learned a while ago that there arent that many enthusiats in the world compared to normal hardworking people that need a car to get to work and other places and have to pay for their own gas...

they wanted to be the largest, most powerful car company in the world...

we knew this was coming... but the final blow was quick... decisive...

2007... may it go down in history as the year that a 100 years of american automotive superiority came to an end...
