I believe it has all the new things from MR plus MIVEC, not sure about the alum roof though.

would the evo9 be faster than the mr? thinking of getting an mr but if the base evo9 will be faster then ill just hold off.

 

Yea, Paniz says the car is more firm which corners faster and turbo is more responsive and feels stronger. This is from some translation I remember. But then evo10 will be soon after that too so it becomes a neverending wait

 

On the Japanese Evo 9, improvements that all models get include the aluminum roof, MIVEC variable valve timing and lift, and the Bilstein dampers previously standard only on the MR.
