Looking to maybe trade in the S for this. anyone transition from a S to this car, regrets? is it an overpriced prius like everyone is saying? Pros/Cons?

Yes, it is an over priced Pruis, but I like it. If you are just looking for more space and better MPG, this is a good alternative. Although people will come in here saying you can get better MPG with a 90's beater, the CT-h is new and looks hot IMO. I'd get one white, dump it and put some nice wheels on it. Yeah I would lose some MPG, but depending on the wheel I could potentially gain some.

It is a far cry from the S though as you are going from a sports car to an upscale hybrid.

Looks sort of goofy, the only time I see one on the road is when it's a loaner for the Lexus dealers. To me hatchback doesn't scream luxury.

the car handles very very well, the turn-in was excellent. Prob because of the tiny engine up front.

Never driven a Prius, so I can't comment on that.

It's a solid little handler, not quite a burner in terms of 0-60 etc, but the torque of the electric motor feels good around town, and I had no trouble merging onto the highway in a test drive a month or so ago. While the power train is shared with the Prius, the set up is definitely unique. More of a "drivers" car with good seating position, comfortable & supportive seats, fairly solid handling. Back seat and cargo area are a bit small, but manageable I suppose. Definitely worth a test drive if you're serious about it.

You'd trade in an S2000 for one of those appliances? Sheesh.

The prius handles like a body made of wet noodles attached to a frame made of wet noodels. Probably the worst driving car I have ever driven.

Agreed. I drove my dad's 2nd gen Prius a few times... utterly dull. It does handle off-road driving on unpaved roads fairly well though.

got to try the CT then, the suspension is actually pretty stiff for a "green" car. And the seats are more supportive than my s2k and Cayman S (it gives more "hug")

$10k less for a 38/39mpg SkyActiv Mazda3 might make more sense...
