LIDAR
^ yeah, no kidding...
i haven't noticed any clear braed cars evading my gun. i mean if anything i pull over more cars with it cause anyone who would bother generally either has a nice car, or likes to drive their car.
either way, i would say that there is no method that will fool the guns that are used now. i would say that you best bet of not getting a ticket while speeding is to get pulled over by a cop who is in love with the car that you drive.

A friend, and technically competent one at that, swears that his car's clear (bra) mask foils LIDAR detection. He describes several stationary sites (bridge overpass) that have nailed others he was actually passing and along with his vehicle's dark color and sloping hood (MB SLK) make him "invisible" to LIDAR. Is he nuts or is there a grain of truth in how the clear mask and color might diffuse the laser beam?

I thought LIDAR is laser.

You mean the military spent billions for stealth technology and all they had to do was put tape on their planes? Stupid government.

At least the government is bright enough to realize they need stealth to try and evade radar and not laser, which is what the OP is talking about.

Did you make up that user name just so you can have that signature?
at your reply btw.

well I'm sure his clear mask isn't doing jack except maybe cutting the reflectivity a tad. but a front plate (if he has one) and headlights will still provide plenty of reflectivity.
That said, I'm sure you could create a film that absorbs the proper frequency and essentially makes lidar ineffective against your car. They make all kinds of dyes for that purpose. It would just take money, time, and lots and lots of know how.
