Love the color. Don't let anyone tell you orange black is rice. It's too nice to be rice!

Sweet ride. Track Video (soon) or ban!
NASA has a HPDE in November at Road Atlanta, so that will be my earliest. But after reading NASA regs, I don't see how to legally mount a camera with cutting the car and using screws.

As to color, since I couldn't get a LS (I need a back seat) it was either comp orange or white. But you don't too many chances in life to own a traffic cone orange car.

Besides, like your Viper, if you going to get an FU car you might as well get it in an FU color.
I agree 100%. I love sports cars in wild colors. What other kind of car can be bright orange, yellow, lime green, baby blue, etc. It looks great. keep it rubber side down. have fun.

I agree...i think it is the factory offsets.... seems like damn near every car from the factory has the tires inward too much.... like the S2000, RX8 etc...... it is amazing what moving the tires out and a slight drop will do for looks.....

I feel like those wheels are too narrow for that car. A drop and some wider wheels/rubber would finish it off imo

IDK, 255/285 isn't bad. If he were going to track it regularly I could see putting more rubber on it, but for a road car it should have way more grip than he needs. Plus going too wide makes rain driving more than a little hairy. (not that this is likely to see much rain)

And if he is going to track it a lot I will say that it makes more sense to get a base GT with brembos, upgrade the suspension aftermarket, put exhaust on it, add wheels/tires, and have a car that is just as fast if not faster, and save a bit of money. That said, the Boss is amazing out of the box.
I though about a GT, but after you add the recaros, torsen and brembos you're not far in price from a Boss 302. The Boss has a LOT of upgrades over the GT and they've all been fully sorted and come with a factory warranty.

Awesome choice. I would like to find a gently used one in a few years for a track toy.

Currently DD an '11 GT and i think it's pretty sweet.

Very true. It sounds like you got it pretty close to sticker, so good buy. The only reason I suggested an upgraded base for a more dedicated track car is that were I to track it, I'd be replacing the seat, the suspension, and wheels/tires whether I got the GT or Boss. For someone who is buying the car to enjoy it in stock or nearly stock form, the Boss is one hell of a car. They sound amazing too.

I paid MSRP and I got them to throw in the trackey programming. My plans for the car are DD (I only drive a few miles a day), weekend toy and a a couple of track days a year.

Not many people rip into a brand new $40K+ car to do all that. If you want to build a track bitch, buying it used and well-depreciated is the way to go unless you have stupid money.

Congrats, ElTianti - what a sweet ride you have. I'd love to have one myself.
