I think the car's fine depending on maintenance. I had an 86 626 and a 95 626. Bought both new and both were automatic 4 cylinders. Both had over 120k miles when I sold them and they were running great.

the other thing I remember was the tire sidewalks are 65 mm which is a little harder to find.

I have a '98 4-banger. The only thing you had to worry about was the transmission (since its based off the Ford Taurus or something). But after a certain year, they fixed the issue...since this one has a new transmission, it should be fine. I like mine alot...especially for the price I got it for.

Looks good, drives well, reliable and good MPG. Can't complain.

I got my 115k mile 1989 BMW 325i for $1k. A much more fun DD IMO..
