lost all keys to car

Default lost all keys to car

we only had one key to start with being shared by 5-7 people...
well the nightmare happened right when i was going to go make copies...
i heard all you need is the vin and registration and honda will make a copy from scratch??

yes take the title of the car to the parts dept and they can order you a new key.

they can definitely make you a key based on the VIN. there are a finite number of key patterns in use. You'll have to prove that you're the owner in some way I'd guess.

The dealer will need the car, or an existing key to make one that starts the car.

No keys, time to call a tow truck. A new immobilizer key will not start the car untill it is programmed to the vehicle.

Moving to Car talk as well, Not a S2000

I would think that 5-7 people sharing a company car would be a nightmare in itself.

Be prepared to shell out ~$200 for one key. I would buy several and have them programmed as you only have to pay for reprogramming once that way.
