Default Lost my S2000 Key... What should I do? Please Help!!!

Hi,
I lost my original S2000 key and now can't start my car. I do have a spare key that I made but it won't start the car for some reason. I can open the doors but can't start the engine. I've been told that the original KEY has some type of chip in it... is this true? Please let me know what I should do. I really need to get my car up and running again. PLEASE HELP.
Thanks

Go to your dealer with the VIN# and ID.

The car is not under my name... It's under my uncles name. Would the dealer let me do it? So... does the Key really have a chip in it? I was told to tow the whole car to the dealer... is this necessary?
Thanks

They probably won't- no offense but to them you could be anyone. Better call your uncle and have him go.

Where are your other keys? S2000s come with 2 main keys, 2 remotes, and 1 valet key. A copy will not work for the engine (immobilizer).

redz,
I bought the car used and only had 1 main key and 1 valet key. Now I only have the valet key and can't start the car. Do you know if I would need to tow the whole car to the dealer or just get the vin number and go to them? My uncle does not have time right now to go take care of my car and I need it up and running bad. Anyone know how much it would cost for this kind of work at the dealer?
Thanks

Even if you have the car towed, they will want proof the car is yours. Otherwise anyone could walk into a dealership with a vin# and ask for a key. The valet key should work. Is there something else wrong with the car?

Push the car and try a rolling start if you are desparately in need of driving the S.

Are you sure the valet key can start the car? I've been told it's only to open the doors. I don't think anything else is wrong with the car, but I don't know too much about cars. I live in Garden Grove... not too far from you... If you know a lot about car I would pay you to come take a look at my car.
Thanks

Tony327c,
I have not tried push starting the car yet... I will try tomorrow and see if it works. Thanks

When I try starting my car with the valet key... it makes the cranking noise and tries to start but never does. Will a push start make it start?
