I really didnt know, I thought that your screen name was referring to the s2k. They should really put the gender of people on here to avoid the mistakes. Once again, sorry dudette.

I drive a stripped S2000 and I thought the Elise seemed unrefined--in a bad way. Sorry....the odo had 2500 miles on it and it rattled over bumps and felt like a kit car (not that I've ever actually driven a kit car, but if I did, I imagine it'd feel like an Elise). Additionally, you can't stay 'on cam' the whole time (imagine if you shifted at redline on the S2000 and fell 500rpm below vtec), the brakes, though strong, felt numb, it was a bit skittish and the shifter is the closest thing you'll get in a production car to 914 throws. Oh yeah...nighttime driving in the Elise is like driving in a normal car with sunglasses on...the headlights were pretty dim.
If the car was $25K I'd say it's a good value.

Talk about 10lbs of shit jamming into a 5lb bucket! I can appreciate the virtues of the Elise, but the S2k is about as minimalist as I would want in a road car, especially for that kinda cash.

If you are looking for something to drive for an hour a day or on a nice night and go tracking...Then sure the Elise if the perfect car...Its handles nice and it is fast in a 1/4mile....The S2000 needs a supercharger to keep up with it...As for mods I have seen people use TRD Supercharger and custom turbokits...Like I said my friend owns one so I know alittle bit about the car...It is verry small but nice...As many of you have said...The S2000 interior isn`t the greatest but thats about as low as ill go for every day driving.....

You have to be quick to get the 1-2 to work, but it's not a problem. It's also the shift I'm least worried about as I never shift down to first at the track.
