luxury brand more expensive to maintain?

i was merely trying to illustrate that at dealer prices, that is what the parts would cost, and if you take those prices into considertion, the
FWIW oil capacity for the S54 is 5.5 quarts. I have no idea how you are getting 7 quarts into yours -- but hey more power to you.
On the other hand the S52 (M52 whatever) cars will take 6.5 or so -- actually over the fill lines to alleviate the shortcomings of the shitty non baffled pan.

Then illustrate the outrageous prices that economy brands charge while you are at it. If you buy your parts at the dealer, more often than not you are getting ripped off.

For my 00 S2000 I bought an oil and filter change card at the Honda dealer so my cost has been under $14 per change.
For my 04 TL my first chage was around $30 and the second change for which they inspect brakes the change was $90.
I think that supports the point of the question.
Both dealers will take me to work and wash the car.
The Acura dealer will also pick me up and has loaners
The Honda dealer gives you a ride in an Odyssey and the Acura dealer in an MDX.

I think that the price to maintain cars goes way beyond the price of your changes. Of course, you also have to look at the price of brakes, altenators, and radiators (this is assuming that you would want to keep you car after the warranty). It is these areas that the price diff between luxury cars and the others is really evident.

My BMW dealer charge me $98 for oil change I also had the two back break change and they charge me about $450 for rear break BMW definetly over charge their customer. I was in shock so but needed the work done immediately so I paid them but will never go back to the dealer.

Actually, the E46 M3 uses a special synthetic oil only available through the dealer as I recall from when I used to own mine.
So to answer your question, yes it is more expensive the higher the price of the car.
Nowadays, buying an expensive car without warranty is not a good decision.
