Oww. Reverse is a solid gate past first -- you really have to push it and can feel the gate clearly.

That image you posted has a missing button. Anyone else guess what should be there?

The history eraser button?

I got the image off the BMW USA website.

Yeah, you would REALLY have to try to get it into reverse while moving in an M Coupe. I never even came cloe to doing that in mine.

The missing button is for the rear defroseter. For whatever reason, some (if not all) '01+ M Coupes have an empty spot there and the rear defroster button is in a spot in between the seats. Kind of odd, since its hard to get to there...

Cheers,

Kevin (currently very, very hung over...)

LOL. Yeah, that and a good mixture of other drinks. Had to pull over the car on the way through the city this morning for some...errr...stomach pressure relief. Hash browns and eggs don't taste nearly as good on the way up. Good thing there was a nicely arranged planter box at the side of the street.

Ick.

Cheers,

Kevin
