A couple of UK car mags have already run comparison tests of these two cars. Auto Express and Autocar both picked the RS4 over the M3. Criticism of the M3 included vague steering and notchy shifter. Can't wait to see the US mags run similar comparison tests.

 

Any ideas on starting price for new M3? I would personally stay away from the M3 for the first year or two to avoid the inevitable little flaws that need to be worked out. The M3 has grown on me substantially.

 

The main key word is always "grown" on . The E46 was stuck on beautiful from the get go. Prices are all over the place .. but it should be somewhat a good jump from the E46.

BMW is in trouble though .. i mean when the E46 came out there really wasnt any competition. Now you have the Skyline, the Supra, the S5/RS5, the A4/RS4 etc ..

I myself would take the AUdi over the BMW even though i am a diehard BMW fan and an Audi hater of sorts
