Default manual car question

so im about to turn 17 and ive been looking at s2ks for a while not that im gonna get one anytime soon
but in the process of me wanting one ill need to learn to drive a standard
we have an audi TT quattro in the family the only standard car
my father doesn't want to teach me on that because he is worried that ill do something to the clutch while learning
its understandable its also probably because its a turbo and he doesn't think i can handle something like that..whatever the case

but does the clutch really burn out or break..not sure of the terminology as quick as he thinks

can i seriously screw it up in the process of learning once??
or is learning on a turbo TT just a bad idea all together?

Can you? Possibly. It's not likely. It's more likely that you just end up wearing down the clutch a lot.

When I learned, I learned on a (now very old) civic. You've just got to find someone with something like that who is a bit more willing to teach you. Though the TT shouldn't be horrible to learn on.

Power doesn't necesarily mean you're going to drive reckelessly, reckless driver drive that way regardless how much power the car has, the only difference is how big the accident is when it happens.
Find someone willing or buy a car and teach yourself like I did.

The clutches on the 1.8T motors are notorious for going bad. Find a buddy with a beater. That
