Default uh oh... clutch is slipping. anyone replaced one?

a couple days ago me and my buddy were headed to buffalo wild wings and my clutch starting slipping. it only slips once i start making power i.e. spooling so hopefully i can get around until i replace it.

My question is have any of you guys done a clutch swap? ive read multiple walkthroughs and threads but i am trying to figure out why some people say its a PITA. the new setup should be ordered by next week so i would like to gather as much advice as i can before then. thanks

By the way i have access to the frame lift, drive on lift and tranny jack/lift thing in the base garage so im thinking that should make it easier?

I've done numerous clutch jobs on S2K's. Since you're turbo, it's a little more complicated. Let me know if you want me to do it, or if you want to try and do it yourself, I'll be more than happy to tell you anything you need to know.

My clutch is going out as well, I have all the parts I need to replace but but have been delayed due to lack of facilities/access to proper tools to complete the job. Im thinking a few guys and a couple of would make this alot easier.

I just got done doing mine, it's pretty straight forward. You have to drop the subframe down a few inches to allow the trans to come out.

Also, peter was telling me he's thinking of letting folks work on their own car and use his facility for 30 an hour. Or have work done there for 60 an hour.

if you can do the work yourself. maybe 30 an hour is a good choice.
